Andorra

Lying between Spain and France, the Principality of Andorra is an extremely small nation located at the heart of the Pyrenees mountains. Many people know Andorra only for its attractive range of duty free perfumes, alcohol and cigarettes… But the Principality is so much more than just a huge cheap shopping center. The majestic mountains surrounding Andorra La Vella, the capital and only city on the territory, offer a spectacular landscape and plenty of outdoor activities. During the winter, visit the best ski stations in the Pyrenees. And once the snow has melted, enjoy the pleasure of hiking in the nature.

MEDICAL CARE

Hospital services in Andorra have seen very strong improvements these past few years. The medical infrastructure is modern and provides quality basic care, as well as satisfying specific treatments. Andorra has one hospital center : the Nostra Senyora de Meritxell Hospital, as well as several small health care facilities. The Andorran people and foreigner residents can benefit from the health care provided by specialized international medical centers located abroad, thanks to agreements with the neighboring countries. In case of emergency, call 118. Ambulance services usually react very fast. Access to quality medicines is good in Andorra. But it is always safer to bring your own first aid kit.

SECURITY ABROAD

The crime rate is low. Exercise normal safety precautions. Ensure that your personal belongings, including your passport and other travel documents, are secure at all times.
